Having been a lover of cinnabons while I was in Bahrain, I was excited to know that Cinnabon has opened outlets in Mumbai. I actually recommended a friend who likes cinnamon flavor, to try em out (on the basis of the ones in Bahrain) EVEN before I did. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to visit this place earlier, I managed to last weekend after a food dinner at Soul Fry.
What an disappointment! I'll tell you why:
I know what the original cinnabons should taste like and the ones available here were FAR from it. We ordered a chocolate minibon and an original minibon.

Went there the other evening right after work with a page-turning chick lit that i was reading then thinking i could do what i always imagined doing by myself i.e. BOOK+beach shack+ mocktails.
So my hopes of getting a chance to read there were shattered since i reached just after sunset.However, i wasn't complaining - i could sit all evening by myself lost in thoughts in an ambiance so relaxing.

So my fiance and I decided to go to a place we've never been to , ended up choosing VEDA.
The decor, as expected, is classy (since its a Rohit Bal restaurant). Although, my fiance said something to the tune of it looking kinda Gothic (Need to chat with him about this). Getting straight to business, here's our verdict on the food:
Starter - Vegetable Seekh Kebab - under-cooked, tasteless and spicy
Chicken Dum Biryani - above average

Been ordering party snack from Camy wafers for our end-of-the-month office parties for almost a year..
a lot of variety, almost everything i've had is good (can't remember not liking anything, actually!) .. we love the mini samosas (which they'd stopped making for sometime in between, we missed it !!), paneer/cheese dhoklas, sandwich dhoklas and mini masala idlis.. lovely bite sized snacks :)
and ofcourse, their potato wafers are the best... they offer a LOT of different variety of wafers ...:) -

Celebrated my birthday dinner here (surprise arranged by the boyfriend).. The most amazing indian meal I've ever had! This was my second visit here.
We ordered a small non veg platter and 1 portion of the veg seekh kebab for starters (didn't know it would satiate our appetite and leave no room for main course- the portions are THAT huge - we were 4 of us)
The kebabs were SUPER !
