Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
Okay, so I finally went to Suzette's a few weeks ago with my friend, Sholeen. It's pretty decent though there's a little bit of an eggy smell in the air but if you can ignore that, the rest of the place is not that bad.
What we ordered: Estragon Crepe (I think it was called that! It had a filling of chicken, dijon mustard and some other bits and pieces), Nord Crepe (filling: smoked salmon, fresh cream, lemon, dill), 2 cups of Hot Dark Chocolate
The food: Delicious. I enjoyed my Estragon crepe so much! Extremely filling, and the portion was huge.
This is the second review I'm writing for this place, and I can't help but say I love this little eatery. Whenever I'm in Kemps Corner, I always stop by! The service is totally perfect - the waiters are attentive and well-mannered. The ambience - that's what I go for!
Now for my second staple from Moshe's! The oven-baked pasta :-)
It's creamy, cheesy and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I added chicken to my pasta - they're pretty generous with add-ons, I must say. I chose the garlicky white sauce and it was yummy! The side platter of garlic bread sticks are chewy, toasty and burstin... read more
I think you should take my title a little more seriously! This cozy little place has a couple of levels. If you sit at the top, you oversee Anjuna Beach. Go, during sunset, the view is amazing. It relaxes you and takes you to another world altogether!
Getting There: If you take a short-cut (and come in through the back entrance), it's crazy! Curlies becomes this mythical creature you don't know if you'll find. Then you do, and you shut up as you take in the colourful interiors and psychedelica around.
Seating: Comfortable. Low tables with cushion mattresses Food. A little... read more
I finally visited this place after: a) Hearing so much about it, b) Locating its secret location!
OK, so you just walk straight down the Out of the Blue road and you should see it on your right. It's right next to the newly opened LSD (also exciting but I only picked up their visiting card). We ordered a Butterfly cupcake, a vanilla cupcake and a red velvet one (my choice). They looked so delish - had to pick these three. The Butterfly one had a blue frosting with chocolate rice, the vanilla one had violet frosting with purply shine-rice and the red velvet looked as any RVC would look... read more
Honestly, I never liked JATC (I visited the place all of two times) but Eat Around The Corner is a definitely better breakfast/brunch diner. The location is perfect. I don't think the wooden sliding doors to let you inside the charming cafe are snooty. Since there's plenty of place to sit and inside and outside, the diner doesn't lose its open-air ambience even while it's closed by walls and the only entry/exit (the wooden barricade). It's a great place for brunch especially when you're eating there on a sunny day. The weather lends to the charm of your meal. There were six of us and we chose a... read more
