Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
Always wanted to try out Mondys on a Sunday morning. So, last Sunday, headed to this place early - reached by about 8.45 am. I believe it opens at 8.30 am.
Settled down to a Mondy's Super Breakfast (set menu) - shared it with my kiddo. The bacon was excellent and the juice fresh. The omlette was fluffy. Wifey had a french toast - nice and soft, but too bland for me - you can add the honey on it as well. Was still feeling hungry since my kiddo decided to have more of the breakfast than me. So ordered for the Kheema Ghotala. Nice hot mince with eggs, and 2 pavs. Spicy and wakes you up comple... read more
Was there in Dec 2011 - to celebrate a special occasion with wife. Chose to do lunch so that it would not be crowded. Was lucky - got the whole place to ourselves.
We started with their famous cheese souffle, and then moved on to the bassa and grilled chicken, and ended with 2 fantastic desserts. The food is fantastic - delicate, aromatic, sensual, ... - okay, you can add in as many positive adjectives as you want.
In this place, you can safely leave it to the staff to help out with recommendations and sit back and enjoy the occassion. Ensure that you order a bottle of wine, as... read more
4 guys - reliving our engineering hostel days 20 years back and a Friday lunch at Sadichha.
We started out with plates of prawn fry, surmai fry, pomfret fry and bombil fry. Great and fresh food. Then we ordered 2 plates of sukha prawn thali - shared between 4 of us along with roti and kokum juice. Avoided the rasa since it was too spicy. Plus had to order another plate of bombil fry - just couldnt get enough of it. Finished off with 4 bowls of fruit custard. So - 2 plates fo bombil fry, 1 plate of prawn, surmai and pomfret each, 2 prawn thalis and 4 fruit custard. Rs. 1,470 between the... read more
It is sad to see how a great restaurant has slipped into mediocrity!! I had reviewed this place when it had opened, and had given a top rating. But after today's experience, I have decided to down-grade it.
Was there for lunch today. Quickly ushered onto our table. After 10 mins, had to get up and hunt for water - I guess they serve it quickly only if you have bottled water. Those for regular water are treated with disdain. This was not the only time, as I had to again get up and hunt for the water jug after about 30 mins.
We asked for simple stuff - a champ laajdar, 1 ulta taweta... read more
Was there the other day, and must say that a lot of money has gone into making this hotel. The rooms are well equipped with electronic gadgetry, comfy beds, but a bit too much garish for my taste. The bathroom may seem a bit tight, but they have these stand alone bath tubs, and the more interesting part, some of the bathrooms are all see through glass walls!! So, unless you are with your special one, some of the rooms can land you in a spot.
I heard that they have brought in one of the famous Qureshi brothers to be the Head Chef. Am looking forward to having some Awadhi food here. Try... read more
