Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
Going to Trident for a dinner buffet sounded very exciting. My family and i were totally looking forward to it... So when we got there we were expecting too much from the place already! As we entered the restaurant the first thing I noticed is the luxurious ambiance. The restaurant was very well lit up and the decor was classy and elegant, perfect for a family meal. The whiff of fresh cooked food drew me towards the buffet spread and i browsed through each and every item on display. The dinner buffet was priced at Rs.850 per head and I think it was quite reasonable considering it was in the Trident... read more
Considering the dearth of good Thai food places, you tend to get a bit tolerant with whatever you do get. Bearing this in mind, do excuse the slight bias in this review.
Also, this review is somewhat incomplete since we only ordered vegetarian and I was not hosting this dinner so I don't know the pricing/total bill for whatever we had.
We were a group of 10 (including 2 kids - a 5 year old and a baby) that headed over for dinner on a Tuesday night. 4 of us got their considerably earlier than the rest of the group and were holding a table for the entire group for almost an... read more
Friday nights usually call for catching up with office buddies and chilling out over beers and peanuts. So, after a little bit of back and forth 6 of us picked Banana Bar because a) It had good reviews on burrp by trusted burrpers, b) It is centrally located, c) It was exactly on our way home and did not require any detours.
The entrance was a little disappointing as the 2/3 (?) star hotel it is located inside doesn't seem to be spending much on upkeep. A dingy staircase leads you to this first floor bar. The ambiance once you get inside is fairly decent. There is bar seating inside... read more
My favourite restaurant has a sibling that just opened doors in Khar. My loyalties are still strongly for the original Mangii Ferra and I am not likely to visit the Khar sibling much too often, but I am glad for the Bandra and SoBo crowd that kept complaining that Juhu was too far.
Most of the dishes have been borrowed from the Juhu Mangii. We started with a Caprese and a bottle of Australian Red. The Caprese had an overdose of basil (didn't hurt). The Mozzarella was soft and melt-in-mouth delicious. We were served a side order of breads and a delicious dip made of red chilli flakes,... read more
I have been going to Aalim since the days when he operated out of nothing but a small one bedroom apartment in Seven Bungalows. Things may have changed, his clients may be amongst the who's who of Mumbai, his salon might be sitting in Mumbai's hottest property (Carter Rd) and he might have a stylish red vrooom vrooom to ride on, but Aalim hasn't changed. Staying true to his roots, he recently bought this very modest shop he owned ages back. And his haircuts still rock!
Besides haircuts, Aalim is also known for precision in hair colouring (proof: his own colourful hair). He has also intro... read more
