Went here on my first visit to Delhi because I had heard it was a really old and popular bakery in CP. Blackforest cake was awesome - soft and fluffy with lots of nuts. The service is quick and prompt. The savories are great too. Pastries are obscenely overpriced. -

I visited Sarvana Bhavan twice last month. The portions are small, except maybe those of rice. The main course dishes invariably disappointed me. Onion uttappam was about 5 inches in diameter and I had to search for "uttappam" within the sliced shallots. The chutneys and sambar were great, nevertheless. Rasam was ok but served in a beer mug. They expect their customers to drink it like juice/ beer?
The service is very, very rude and not prompt at all. Going there isn't worth the expense. -

I had the crispy fried veggies in schezwan sauce and burnt garlic fried rice. The food was great but the size of the portions was disappointing.The only drinks available are colas. It is a small joint with good decor. Service was prompt but rude. -

I stopped visiting this place over a year ago.
Good: Nothing, except maybe the location.
Bad: 45 bucks for a simple, potato-ey veg frankie.
Ugly: The chicken frankie costs as much as a veg frankie. Ergo, the vegetarian is heavily subsidising the non-vegetarian.
But is the non-vegetarian better off? My friend who had a plate of chicken lollipop (overpriced, again) found 4 pieces of chicken legs in his plate all of which looked like they had come from a chicken that had gone on a fast unto death.

It is the regular neighbourhood south Indian restaurant to be trusted for Shetty food. The food here used to be dirt cheap until 3-4 years ago. The proprietor was a really sweet and friendly old man. With the development of the nearby business hub, the clientèle of this restaurant rose and so did the prices.
