Shiro's is awesome. The first thing that hits you is the sheer sense of space - in a way, it's even better than Global Fusion, which might be larger, because of the beautiful way they've used the giant statues, plants, and water.
The food is very, very good, the drinks excellent, the music decent (we went on a monday night so it was very soft, subtle ambient stuff, but I've heard good stuff about it on other days as well) and overall, and excellent ambience / experience.
Service was ok - a bit slow, but gives you enough time to appreciate the experience.

I've lived in Goa for 2 years, and been visiting it on and off for another eight, but I'm still yet to come across a restaurant that can measure up to Martin's.
The food is superb.
The ambiance is relaxed, open, casual.
The service is decent.
The entertainment is pretty good - last time we had a live singer / one-man/band who was NOT irritating or interfering, and was actually pretty talented.

Considering that Cal's always been known for some really excellent Chinese cuisine, I was really looking forward to this, but RHCP sadly did not live up to expectations; service was slow, the decor and ambiance gone too far towards 'cozy' and ending up being merely dark and slightly depressing... but worst of all is the AC - it's like sitting in a refrigerator. I'd expect that level of air-conditioning in an open-barbecue place. I got a headache after a point, shivering in the cold, peering in the dim light, and finding my food going cold before I have a chance to get halfway through it.

While the food may be good, we (a large group on a thursday afternoon) found not only ourselves but the entire restaurant being served by a single waiter. Time of arrival: 1:15. Time of first dish: 2:10. Time of last dish (since all of us were served in turn): 3:00. By this time the first guy had already finished.
And here's the best part - we all ordered THALI! The least fussy and standardized dish! And it was the only dish available that day! -
