  • Gourmet Goodness - not! Mar 24, 2012

Burgs Bandra West  |  21 reviews

This place has a long way to go to become 'gourmet'. I thought day one was the barometer for good service but my large order for 6 people took a 45 minutes to serve that too when I walked in when the place was empty.
Its a KFC/McDonald's kind of fast food burger joint, though they call themselves 'gourmet goodness'. Just having 6 kind of meats to offer does not qualify for gourmet, it's called variety/options. Pricing at 250 a burger is clearly higher than the McDonald's of the world but the size of the burger and the quality is the same. The tofu, big burg, the burg and lamb need loads of

  • They know their beer and grub! Jun 21, 2011

Sammy Sosa Jogeshwari West  |  207 reviews

Sammy Sosa is a Viraat, Samraat and their crew enterprise which I should have been to long back, but I only started frequenting 2 years ago. It is quite easily one of the best places for gourmet beer and good food. Been here for drinks, dinner, lunches and they do them all equally well.

Samraat and Viraat (Sorry guys, if I got your spellings wrong) are the brains behind this foodie paradise and know their beer pretty well. Unlike other armchair restaurant operators, they are on the floor all the time, and with the patrons right from the word go. Seating, suggesting food and drinks, taking

  • Good Food, Fuzzy Service Logic! Nov 26, 2010

Kakori House Jogeshwari West  |  20 reviews

So I landed here apparently on the 2nd day after it opened (13th Nov to be precise!), for dinner. There was a Good crowd waiting, and i waited 25 minutes to be seated for dinner.

First the service, I was not so delighted with it. They forget getting the basic hygiene factors in place and open up a restaurant!! The water was not served but the soft drink was (or is it that only billable items were to be served?)... The food came but they forgot the napkins. Then they give you stained napkins when you ask for it after the food! They gave us menu cards, which were apparently sample menucards

  • Good pizza, though cold! Mar 06, 2010

Pizzaroma Andheri West  |  52 reviews

I tried Pizzaroma after a few recommendations from friends.... and it turned out the pizza was bang on. thin crust, the way it should be, the rustico was pretty filling. But it was cold! Did he just pick one off the shelf to deliver, i dont know, but the cold killed the taste.

I also tried out the pizza sandwich, which I was recommended on the phone. Nice effort, nice outcome. However, wrapping it up in aluminum foil just kills it and makes it cold again.

Pizzorama, you need to fix your delivery effort. Pizza home delivery in andheri is a big market, and you gotta get this

Hi. Usually we deliver within a 15-minute radius as a thin crust would lose heat rapidly beyond that time. Yours could have been one of two deliveries at the same time during rush hour but no excuses. Will take your feedback and hope to serve you hot pizzas next time. Thanks.
