This place has excellent food, an understated elegance, unobtrusive service, a decent bar and isn't exorbitantly priced. What the heck is Bangalore waiting for?
The food isn't traditional Asian, it's plated which makes for a welcome change to the rice/noodle + gravy melange that one has to order. Most of the pairings are fairly unconventional but work very well.
My personal favourite is the burmese lamb stew.
Desserts, though, could be better. Too vanilla for their menu. -

When all else fails, it's not a bad option. The Fillet O Fish is worth a shot, their fries aren't bad and the shakes could be worse.
Best of all, they'll always have a clean loo. Except the one near the Red Fort in Delhi, it doesn't have a loo. -

I drove to Gandhinagar for dinner, Fishland being our destination. Truth be told, this is a very difficult review to write, I'll run out of adjectives and superlatives way too soon. Instead, I will describe the meal and state that this is quite possibly the best seafood you can get in Bangalore, although you'd have to like the Manglorean style of cooking to fully appreciate this.

Given that it’s as much an institution as Koshy’s and Imperial, this is a review where I will tread softly.
We started with a glass of limejuice each, lime, sugar, salt and water, seeds and all. Certainly was refreshing, even if it is pretty basic. Please do note the completely retro 70’s glasses. Then had an omelet with buttered toast. Truthfully, the toast is more fried in butter than toasted and buttered. t's one of my favourite places to eat. The food is strangely comforting, with curry leaf and coconut. Their prawns, the Masala Fried version, is to die for.(Once ordered a good twenty plates of it.) We loved their Chilly Cheese Toast and the Spicy Chicken Sausages in Hot Garlic Sauce. Their Coorgi Pandhi Curry and Mallu Erachi Olatheuthe are signature dishes. As is their Seafood Soup.
