Matunga has done it again. There is a super sad place in the vicinity once again. I visited Oxy Cafe for lunch hoping that they will have some interesting stuff to eat. Unfortunately, it had some not so tempting rolls and over priced sandwiches. I called for a sandwich which was barely warm with little filling and tasted nothing worth 90 bucks. The ambience of the place is pretty good with blue interiors but if you're too tall this place is not for you. The ceiling is low and you have to practically bend to walk through the cafe.

I made the worst decision of my life and decided to visit Janata, the famous watering hole in bandra on a saturday night. When we saw the crowd outside, we were already prepared for the top section to be crowded. But when we entered the upper level, we realized, crowded was an understatement! It was as good as a Virar local train, people pushing, waiters pushing and everyone trying to make space for themselves. This outlet of Tibbs is one of my favourites. You get frankies, sandwiches and other snacks here. The schezwan chicken frankie is delecious. It's spicy, yummy and filling. Frankies are priced between Rs 40 - Rs 60. The service is quick and this place is ideal for a quick VFM bite. -

If you are looking for a place where you can chill with friends in an awesome ambience then this is not the place for you. This is strictly a hookah place that serves basic snacks at reasonable rates. Hookahs are priced at Rs 200 and Shawarma at Rs 50. The place is divided into two sections one on the ground level and a dingy staircase leads you to another. The service however, is very efficient and they change the coal frequently. It's a very no-hang-ups, no-frills place. Check it out if you are not too hoity toity! -

If you feel like enjoying a dhaba ambience with great food, head to Horn Ok Please. You'll be surprised to see magicians and astrologers sitting at the entrance of this restaurant. The restaurant has an outside as well as an inside section and if you are not quite a fan of the Mumbai heat then head to the inside section.
