Have always wanted to visit this place. What triggered this interest was the crowd that's eternally present here. Finally visited this place on Saturday evening with total hi hop crowd. The Owner who was introduced to my friend came immediately and got us 3 seats and we ordered. Kullad masala chai never tasted this good and the corn churmur was a killer :) It vanished instantly amongst the three of us and we were patting our tummies after this nice snack and moved out. The first time i stepped into this place i had a feeling that it will be yet another south indian restaurant boasting the usual stuff but the minute we tasted the starters i changed my opinion. The staffs are really warm,you don't wait more than 5 minutes to get a table no matter how big your gang is.
The first thing you get is a bowl of fryums that tastes yummy with an array of chutneys. Went here on Sunday - courtesy my BIL who was treating us for lunch there. Went in there and we were given our table in the non smoking zone and were told that it's going to be a brunch. I wasn't thrilled hearing this as i was down with a bad case of mouth ulcers and was wondering if there would be something that i could enjoy. Surprise Surprise - they indeed have good selection of starters. The waiter who was assigned to us was the pleasant and patient one i have ever encountered. Been here on Friday night and was surprised to get a table without reservation. Very attentive and friendly bunch of folks work here and it was without any wasted moment we were given our menu once we settled. To start with we ordered Pita with Hummus and a pear salad. Before this was on our table we were given a basket of bread which was warm and just ready to devoured. Been to their Sunday Brunch recently and i must say the spread is really huge. First ever time we saw a lot of yummy vegetarian items than the non vegetarian ones. huge array of salads of which the ones with raisins and nuts stole the thunder out of every other type on that variety. And maybe coz they have so much spread on salads they just have 2 varieties of soups. A veg (cream of celery) and chicken soup. Cream of celery was neither too thick nor heavy and was yummy.
