Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
Again opted for Pizzaroma for delivery to our flat nearby, and again, we got quick, prompt and very courteous service, good communication on the phone, honest delivery times, and most importantly, a great tasting pie. We ordered the Bellasai, a mushroom-onion pizza, which was delicious mainly because it was so simple; as well as the Siciliana (artichoke hearts, capers, sundried tomatoes, olives and garlic) - both were very yummy. We could have done with a slightly crispier crust, since ANY pizza when delivered begins to sag a bit, but I'm sure the crust is crispy as a biscuit if you have it to... read more
Mangii has always been a family favorite of ours. The beautiful tucked away location, the protruding, yet welcoming tree sprouting from the ground before the entrance, and the friendly Maitre D' always makes for an enjoyable evening.
We were pleasantly surprised yet again this time when the Maitre D' poured us a complimentary glass of a new house red, the vineyard supposedly financed and partly owned by the owner of the restaurant (turned out the wine was actually quite satisfactory as a table red - musty, earthy, not a long finish, aromas of dirt, earth, mushrooms, fungus, etc.). ... read more
After a grueling workout at the gym, the family and I thought we could treat ourselves to a night of Tibbs, newly opened where the old Revedore Cafe used to be in Oshiwara/Lokhandwala. Upon approaching the place, it's clear to determine that its meant to be more of a fast food/take away type of joint, although they do have about 4-5 tables in their small outdoor patio area.
The 4 of us ordered 3 of the world famous frankies and 1 chicken tikka sandwich. The frankies came in these cool, twist-off branded cardboard frankie holders. Clearly, Mr. Tibb was going for more than just banking on... read more
No, I don't mean High Definition, but Home Delivery. This side of town needed a place like this: focus on quality, thin-crust, tasty pizzas (not the oily gut bombs that Dominoes, Pizza Hut or Smokin' Joes serves up). Their ingredients are fresh, menu is simple and not overwhelming, and they even throw in a few pasta concoctions if you're simply offended by pizza.
All in all, great home delivery experience, delivery boy arrived promptly, was courteous, and didn't hang around expecting a tip (even though he got one). Would recommend for pizza deliveries over any of the chains any day of... read more
Anytime! You guys are doing a great job. I was skeptical when I saw your place being built. Was expecting yet another ho-hum pizza joint, but you've got some good stuff. We'll be ordering again very soon!
...stay away like the f*cking plague if its anytime in the evening. This place turns into a clusterf*ck mob of the kind of people most of us want to stay away from: low-life wannabes that would do anything for gander at the gals; cricketer menaces who usurp valuable beach real estate with their games; and annoying families who love to trash the beach with food wrappers and other junk. The beach is more reminiscent of an unruly amusement park, complete with food stalls, gift and trinket vendors, and of course, the throngs of less-than-educated people.
