I am a South Indian, no wonder I love and adore South-Indian food and what better place to enjoy some authentic South-Indian food than Ramanayak's Udipi. I have been visiting this place for a little over three years now and the quality of the food has never changed. Its top notch. The place is neat and clean and the hygiene is very well maintained. What I like best is the tomato rasam that they serve with rice on banana leaves on Sundays, its awesome. If crunchy bombil, tangy solkadi, finger-licking fish curry, lip-smacking fish fry to go down with rice and bhakri is your ideas of a feast that too on a shoe-string budget, then look no further...just head to Satkar Rice Plate House opposite Goregoan railway station(east). The quality of the food served here is excellent and quantity is generous. The place is almost always crowded so be prepared to wait for your turn to sit and eat. -

Its my first n last biryani from Hangla. It was the most disgusting biryani I ever had in my life. There was no flavor nor were there any subtle spices or aroma. The only thing that was in abundance was the GHEE that they used, I could drain out a tablespoon and a half..yes 1 1/2 tblspoon of ghee from the biryani. Frankly if you value your time, appetite, and money don't even think of this place, instead just walk over to the other side of the signal and have your biryani from The Hyderabad Kitchens, they serve much much much better biryani than the Hangla guys. -
