Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
The first time I went to this place was around a year n half ago. The food was decent, the place was full... We danced a bit, had fun.. Back to the present - we decided to go there to celebrate someone's anniversary (I don't know what we were thinking!). We got out from the car, and the problems started: 1. The elevator doesn't work. Fine. It is on the 2nd floor. We can take the stairs. Now, the stairs are those glass ones, and some of them were a bit wobbly. There is pigeon poop all over the stairs. 2. We enter, and the place is nearly empty. Only 3 odd tables occupied. At 10 pm?!... read more
Have been to his restaurant a number of times. What I always end up eating is the Murg Musallam. It is chicken, minced lamb, mushrooms served on a bed of rice. Totally yummy! And they serve roomali rotis (you can see them making those too).
I also liked the chicken achari kabab. Succulent, tangy. Tickles the taste buds. This time, we tried the Dum Biryani. The aroma of the biryani! Mouthwatering! And it tasted as good as it looked. We tried the veg biryani too - which was great! And some paneer gravy dish (don't remember which - was more interested in the chicken) - which was decent. ... read more
Was on my way home from work when my guy and I decided to drop in at Uncle's Kitchen. Now I had heard of this place sooo many times (not most recently, but still...). So we go all the way to Malad (through the horrible traffic on Link Road).
When we entered, there were only 2 tables occupied (this was around 8 pm). The tables were clean. Water was served promptly, and we got the menu immediately too. What ticked me off first was that the captain (who perpetually looks like he swallowed a lemon and behaves as if he is doing you a HUGE favour by getting you the menu) kept hovering while... read more
I've been to this place a couple of times(i wouldn't call it a date spot. This place is to be enjoyed with friends), and i'm finally writing a review about it.
The first time we went there was on a friend's birthday. We wanted to try a new place, and so, Sammy Sosa it was (and we're hooked). Don't remember what we ordered on that particular day, and we've been there many times since. Here's what we've tried till date:
We don't drink, so can't comment on that. I do love the Pink Lady mocktail. It has a nice fresh taste.

Went to The Melting Pot today, i.e. on a Sunday afternoon. We were immediately offered a table. I loved the way the place has been made up. The Buddha statue, the paintings, etc. The colour-scheme of the restaurant is earthy, and every little thing seems to have been chosen carefully. The bar area looks quite well decorated and attractive too.
Service is excellent. They lay the napkins for you, water is served and water glasses are refilled immediately, tables cleared after each course instantly. Very polite and attentive staff. You do not have to wait for someone. You just look around,... read more
