I dont have my office in the townside, but have gone to meet some friends after work and Ambience was the destination a couple of times
If I had to describe it, its an upscale version of Janata in Bandra.
You can get your liquor really cheap, but it has AC and the tables are newer and a little more spaced out than those at Janata
Food is the normal mix of oily Indian and Indian-Chinese. Most patrons in the evening are refugees from nearby offices - not particularly high-level though, because I guess those would frequent Hard Rock Cafe

Writing this almost an year after writing my first review
Through this period, have been there umpteen times - and never have come back with anything but superlatives about the food. And at such affordable prices !!
Have introduced the place to a lot of our friends and everyone is very pleasantly surprised by the place
Over my many visits here are some more of my observations (apart from understated decor and very reasonable pricing)
- Khowsuey is highly recommended. Not a dish you love at your first attempt, but the creamy taste grows on you

This place was recommended by a friend when we had to find a common meeting ground between Navi Mumbai and town folk. Although traffic on Eastern Express Highway near Sumannagar can be a bitch, this place itself was a very pleasant surprise. Located beyond the traffic light after TISS, next to IDBI Bank, it seems more like a private club rather than a restaurant when you first enter
We were visiting the lounge section, so no comments on the restaurant section

I had thought of checking out their offerings, but these f**kers send so many spam smses (once a day) that if I could, I'd go and trash their place
So if you can, avoid the place completely. Show them spamming people with smses is not the way to win customers -

I am surprised at the average rating for this place so far
I went there last weekend on the recommendation of a friend - and I was very pleasantly surprised
The ambience of the place is very chic - as has been described by people below. Service was polite and attentive. We were a group of 4 people - the waiters were patient enough to let everyone make up their minds individually about their order
