Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
When you see ridiculous prices, you say, mmm food must be really good right? WRONG! Rs. 250 for a dried out slice of margherita - not even a slice it was a slice-ita! pasta was soggy and saucy - bruschetta was basically toast - yeah like the one sitting in bottles at tea shops - not even freshly made! with stuff sprinkled on it that had nothing to do with fresh mediterranean food. why is it that nobody can pronounce it right (BrusKetta being the right way) either? aren't the waiters trained in such a ridiculously expensive place?
And finally the place had 2 waiters for like 25 tables... read more
After 3 unsuccessful attempts to get in (place was full - which always increases the attraction), we finally found a table at this popular place (on a week night). The food is genuine Italian, I must say, so compliments! (Not to be immodest but having spent 7 years in Italy, I should know!) The staff could do with a little more training - simple stuff like "don't suggest food if you don't know what your customer wants" , "pronounce the dishes correctly" - nothing earth shattering but it would add that completeness to an otherwise good dining experience.
Some items on the menu were misspelled... read more

HI, I visited your restaurant with my family for the 3rd time - each time we visit we "hope" for better food, value or at least taste. Alas, looks like you have joined the fast-growing list of so-called Italian rip-off joints serving mediocre food at ridiculous prices. Your drinks have no consistency - e.g. every time we ordered the Spice Girl - first time it was good, next time it was not so good, and today it was icy, watery and diluted and tasted more like a Mojito - do you change your bar man every week? why should anyone return to your place for good food if each time is unpredictable?

Dear Devika, I appreciate your well-intentioned reply, I will look for the receipt - but I hope you do realize the main issue wasn't about the day or time or waiter - it's a general disregard for quality and overcharging for mediocre food. As the Italian saying goes - when the fish stinks, it's from the head downwards...

Dear Sir,
We are doing a sampling session on the 3rd of March 2012 at 4pm. The menu will be sampled with the CEO and Head Chef. I would like to inform you for the same. Can you please call me on 43687123 or give me your contact details on info@cafemangii.com
I Must confess I really didn't find anything good about this place. Unclean in general, flies all around, unmopped floors and tables, chairs from garage sale, it does nothing to make you feel comfortable. Least of all the bagels are fluffy and doughnut-like - I mean who taught these guys to make bagels? I can find real bagels for 20 bucks a pop (take-away) at Saltwater not too far from here! (not that I'm biased or love that place). The super stinky loo was the icing on the cake and we walked out, wife-first.. The only people who frequent this place, I'm sure, are the lukkha couples who only... read more
First thing that strikes you is it's a really tiny place (4 or 5 tiny tables + one little cozy corner sofa behind a pillar). We (family - parents, 2 kids - one of them a teenager) ordered a chocolate mousse, which was nice and smooth (but more fondant would have enhanced the flavor), vegetarian pizza which was tiny and boring (for some reason it arrived with mustard and Tabasco bottles on the side), The tiramisu was heavy and cheesy - little or no sign of coffee or mascarpone (maybe trying to call it Tirami-Giu!). Last (and the least) a slice of Black forest cake - again heavy and rough with a... read more
