The Banyan Tree Fort  |  11 reviews

This one's close to office so I often hop in to catch up with friends and chat up. The place is not so crowded most of the times and that is what makes it my favourite - you can actually sit here and talk without being disturbed by noisy families. You know the types with kids and aunties (who love to talk with their counterparts on the other end of the table).

So the ambience gets a full 10 on 10. The food somehow makes you pay for it though ;-)

I usually have the 'soup of the day' and follow it up with a starter. An average starter costs 130 with a 'not-so-big' portion. My perso

On Toes Pub & Restaurant Fort  |  2 reviews

Had been there today for their buffet lunch @ Rs. 150. Believe me, its total value for money. It has 1 Veg Gravy, 1 Non-Veg Gravy, Dal, Rice, Paratha / Roti / Nan & Desert. Being a vegetarian, i thought i'd get a raw deal (no pun intended :)) But the Veg. Satrangi was awesome and very tasty. The Dal Tadka was perfect too and the Naans were tender and neatly baked. The Bondi raita and ice cream only added to my delight. The service was quick and courteous and i would recommend this place to everyone. But don't go there too often - you will put on lot of weight :)

Moved by the reviews of this place on burrp, i spontaneously decided to order their sandwiches and convinced 3 friends too.
Mr Parmeshwar picked up the phone and was very delighted to take the order. I ordered for 2 cheese masala toast (which was recommened in most reviews).I asked his recommendations for 2 more sandwiches. He suggested Paneer, Cheese Chilly and American, Corn & Mushroom Sandwich and so i ordered them as well. However, none of the sandwiches lived up to their hype; Except Paneer Cheese Chilly, which managed to save to grace to an extent. These may have tasted good if I had

    Govinda's Restaurant Girgaon  |  7 reviews

Had been to this place last night with a couple of friends. They had a candle light setting which served no purpose in this cramped, crowded and noisy place. Moreover, the bright lights at the entrance and near the kitchen spoiled the experience. We were not too hungry so ordered a starter - veg crispy and a Schezwan Sizzler. Both dishes were Jain. While the veg crispy was not good, sizzler was a surprise. it tasted nice and spicy in-spite of being made without onion and garlic. The best part of the meal was the desert- it always is for me :). We ordered a chocolate pastry and a blueberry cheese... read more

Sardar Pav Bhaji Tardeo  |  39 reviews

This is one place that's got more hype than substance ,except butter maybe :) The bhaji has more butter than the veggies. Moreover they make you wait endlessly for it. Service is non-existant here.

You might rather skip this place and head for Majhi Sagar that's about 10 minute walk away towards SOBO central. They have the best Pav Bhaji i have had in a long time.
