I generally order from my office as it is right across.
The food is better than most chinese places around and the quality is good.
Service and delivery is also prompt. The quantity is also pretty good like 5 spice.
Gr8 selection of veg food and I recommend it. -

From the few times I have visited this place since its opening, I have witnessed it going down from bad to worse and hitting a completely new low. I had first been there when it was opened by Suren Joshi. After he left it went to the dogs. The crowd is generally seedy (read:rowdy boys who visit the place for hookah and drinks and underage college kids who dont get served alcohol and hookah anywhere else). I visited Tawouk this last Monday night at 11:30 pm with a cousin visiting from the states who was craving a sheesha. We were 2 couples and not even stags. This place is owned by the very sad Garcia's Pizza, which everybody knows is anything but pizza! They have opened a Chinese delivery service like smoking lee's but they are horrible in every sense. I ordered a combo meal with a starter, a soup, a main course and a rice. The food was inedible! Everything just tasted of Salt and nothing else, no flavour of any kind whatsoever! the springroll(starter) was Salty and the flour was underfried so it was very chewy. I was at Prive this Wednesday night for a friends birthday, the night was being promoted by PlanB entertainment and the DJs for the night were Bunty and Sohail. To summarize the experience of the night, I will call it a rowdy high school feel.
The presence of hundreds of pimply teenaged boys with newly grown facial hair hanging out with their tiny teenaged girlfriends barely out of high school wearing almost nothing and flaunting what they definitely DIDNT have, yet.... disgusted me to no extent... I have been ordering from Shang Dynasty for quite a long time now. Initially I thought of it as a blessing here in lower parel because the quality of the food was amazing and the quantities were massive(they still are), and the prices seemed to be just right. The first time I ordered chilli straw potatoes and veg burmese khowsuey. It was a heavenly experience for that time and the next time i ordered. Then the quality started deteriorating and all the good regard started fading away quickly.
