Went with my husband for dinner on Sunday Nite. However, nothing much pleased us.
The menu is very common with nothing noteworthy. however, we ordered 2 appetzers, we were told that they arent available. the mocktails very okayish. the pasta n risotto were very mediocre. -

We went to Sampan for dinner on Sunday night.Though it was relatively full, there were 2 vacant tables. After waiting unattended at the entrance for more than 10 minutes, finally we were escorted to our table.
We ordered for 3 starters & 2 iced teas.
Starters:
Steamed wontons - They were under cooked. The outer layer was too thick to be eaten & the sauce was very salty.
Paneer with salt n pepper- It was actually fried paneer only with salt n pepper. Absolutely tasteless.

usually in Italian restaurants, they give a complementry bread basket with soup.yesterday when i ordered soup, they didnt give any bread 2 o with it...so i asked for some & that if it is complementry....they said they ll give it & also charged Rs.240 for some peices of okayish bread........This is ridiculous......management of Penne.......R u listening........ -

being a Saturday night, we got a table after waiting for more than an hour...However the music & drinks kept us busy!!!!!!.
Even the staff was courteous......
Finally wen v got a table, having alreay ordered while we were waiting, the food came very fast...n it was awsum.....
the pizza & pasta were to die for....so fresh & so delectable...it was totally worth the wait..n not to forget GREAT prices!!!!!!
M surely going back there again & again...... -
