Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
So i know the defintion of a place marked with three inr symbols meaning expensive but thats not the problem I had with Punjab Grill Juhu.
Nor was the problem with the servers who were completely lost and tardy yet some efficient and polite managers who i give credit for to make the dining experience not so miserable.
Nor was my problem with the oversized water glasses in ratio to the size of the table – if about 20% of the dining table is covered by the water glasses – kudos to the person responsible for the call
My problem was with the pricing - not inclined... read more
How often does a new restaurant open with much ho-ha in the city and you see those long waits and endless queues while being a part of the ‘happening’ tag & soon you see the restaurant fade away in forgotten history? – Ans: Very Often.
I wish there were betting odds against the lifeline of Sanchos – the ‘much talked about’ Mexican restaurant in Khar. I would have won good bucks, atleast to get back the money that I lost last night dining at Sanchos – Actually, the feeling is rather of money stolen!
Now getting to the point – Thurs night I arrive at this place for dinner after... read more
Moveover the Hangouts and the Brownie Points - who although are very good in its own way - but have started to become by-products of a manufacturing line (which is literally the case).
Cakerina is one amongst the thousands of options one has these days to get party/event cakes. The USP of Cakerina lies in its innovativeness and customer service. I ordered cakes from Cakerina thrice in the past one month and got tremendous feedback on them.
On each of these occasions, i wanted a different sorta cake. Not the typical - Choc Truffle,or Black Forest, or even a Ferrero Rocher... read more
On a Saturday night we were the 'priveliged' ones to enter Valhalla since we were on the guest list. I think many paid about 1500 cover to get in.
We got in at midnight and the place was getting filled. Pretty sizeable place, large bar and didnt have any trouble ordering drinks. The guy across the bar was pretty polite and got my drinks in decent time. I ordered tons of the drinks for the group - from Mojitos to Martinis but there was one common thing about all of them was the amount of alcohol in it. The martini glass wasnt even filled up to the apt level.

Dear Pratish,
At first, I would like to thank you for taking the time to review Valhalla.
As an outlet, we pride ourselves on our integrity and guest service. The previous reviews are an affirmation of the same.
Needless to say, I have taken up the above mentioned issue extremely seriously with our bar and wait staff and have implemented certain measures to ensure this is not repeated. The ACs have also been serviced promptly following your feedback, however, I must say, that this past Saturday we got rather overcrowded which may have contributed to the issue with the...read more
Thanks Rahul, i appreciate you getting back to my feedback and taking this positively.
As previously stated, I feel Valhalla is a great place as far as the crowd, place, and the music is concerned. I knew the AC issue was a one-off thing so that wasnt really the spoiler but if the drinks could be made right, I would love to visit Valhalla again and not worry about paying even a 100 buck extra for it. .
If ever I wanna try out a new restaurant, I always trust burrp & my fellow reviewers. Thier positive ratings/reviews have rarely disappointed me. However this was one of the rare times when reviews about the Jewel of India (Sunday brunch esp) was misleading.
So i made reservations for a day prior for a table of 5 for the Sunday brunch. I reached at JOI and within a few mins i was taken to a very nice large round table. I was amazed at the size of the restaurant but that also brought in the added chaos and the decibel level being very high. Def not a place you wanna take your date out... read more
