So it was about time that Beery Bangalore got its own little brewpub. Although the second to open in the city (Toit being the other), the beer flowed here first. They offer six types of in-house brews - Stout (must try!), Wheat (very nice), Lager, Pilsner, Ale and a Seasonal Special (which they hadn't started serving yet). The food, although limited, makes for good munching with cold, fresh beer in a big, chunky mug, just the way it is supposed be had!
The decor is a bit mismatched on the ground floor, but the second and the open-air third floor would be brilliant for a lazy Bangalore... read more -

Old school charm... Old school decor (although it was somewhat refurbished a couple of years ago from the even more old school decor)... an ideal meal here would be rava vada + masala dosa + coffee... a bit too crowded at times... you might end up sharing a table with random people...
MUST OBSERVE - the way the guy carries 20+ dosas on one arm and flings them on the table with supreme accuracy, so it lands right in front of you... and the way he remembers the umpteen different orders without even writing it down! well impressed!

Nice food and everything, decent price, somewhat authentic taste and all... BUT...
the only time one would get to even think or breathe would be just before one's behind hits the seat and while walking out after paying the bill... everything in between is just a haze, as the various waiters fill the umpteen little bowls on the plate with impressive speed and aim. 'Fling', 'Splosh', 'Pour'! It feels a bit like you are being hurried to finish your meal and get out of there. I would prefer it a little more peaceful. -

Really nice ambience, definitely one of the better restaurants in south bangalore... and, for once, when they say thai / chinese / burmese, they DO NOT mean "chainees" etc.
There's a choice of seating - outside and inside. Would definitely prefer the outside place. But I feel the outside is a bit too dark and the inside is a bit too bright. But then this would matter only if one is going there for dinner.
The starters definitely overshadow the stir frys and thai currys (wasn't too impressed with the main course).
