There are quite a few good book stores out there on MG Road (actually this one's off MG Road - Shrungar Shopping Arcade, or for MG Road frequenters, the complex that connects you to Church Street) and though this won't qualify as the best, it could feature among the few good ones.
Every time I walk into a book shop, if the store looks at least two decades old, they have won my heart. Bookworm is practically a hole in the wall. My friend and I were walking around aimlessly when Crusty Patisserie caught our eyes because it looked clean, airy and elegant. We decided that a quick bite and coffee would be fun and relaxing, seeing that their décor included plants and a balcony-like area. A rarity, these days.

...was when I dropped by and boy! was I surprised. The place opens quite early 8AM-ish. And they have three varieties for breakfast options. So I opted for the one that served all the items for Rs. 175/-. You get toast, sausages/bacon, fruit juice/tea/coffee, hash browns, eggs of your choice. A little pricey but worth it.
My friend who practically lives there recommends this place highly, especially for lunch and dinner. However, they serve no alcohol. -

I had walked into Pizzeria on a weekday late evening a year back. The glass wall that overlooks the Koramangala 5th Block was what piqued my interest. I was thrilled seeing the exquisite interiors. Quite European-like, if not Italian. The wood work, the wallpapers and the lighting were very classy, elegant. There were not many patrons owing to the mid week evening timing. Or maybe the place hadn't gained popularity by then.

Yesterday was the second time I had been to Kubay after more than a year. The first time, I'd been there for dinner, we had pork sorpotel, bright red and spicy, with steamed rice and I had cocum juice for the first time. This time around I'd been for lunch and we'd ordered one special fish meal and one chicken meal, complete with a plate of caramel custard for each of us for dessert. I had expected the fish fry to be a little more fried than what was served (because I like it that way), but I am assuming it is the way it is prepared.
