    I & Monkey Indiranagar  |  6 reviews

Been here three times already and can hardly find fault with it! Its apparently started by the same group that runs Windsor Pub, one of the pillars of the old Bangalore pub culture, and the experience shows.

Whitewashed walls with dark wooden furniture is the contemporary interpretation of the traditional pub look. So are the additions to the menu, though its a pleasure to find a new place that offers masala peanuts!

Cocktails are well made, and the starters live up to the myths they weave around them. My personal favorites are the crab dumplings and the fish curry :)

  • Great food...let down by terrible service! Apr 08, 2012

Punjabi by Nature Koramangala  |  16 reviews

Starting with the perfect location (near Forum Mall, Koramangala), to the innovative use of space (endless tables, yet no claustrophobia; soothing, classy interiors, including water bodies) to the idea of having a micro brewery on the spot...this is one of the few fine-dining options in Indian cuisine, that too strictly Punjabi.

And what a cuisine it is - you could be conventional (galouti kabab, butter chicken) or unconventional (dahi ke kabab, kandhari murg) and still be extremely satisfied. Mammoth breads (naan, roti etc.) and their trademark golgappa shots are perfect accompaniments

Coastal Junction Indiranagar  |  44 reviews

Having been a regular visitor since they opened, I find it quite amazing that this place has managed to survive and continues to do well! Maybe it's because of people like me who have realized that while the place has some bad days (bland food, indifferent service), when it is good - it is GOOD!

One of the few relatively upmarket places serving coastal cuisine in Indranagar, one should definitely check it out - especially the karwari dishes. Just be warned - they may be having a bad day :)

Cream Centre Indiranagar  |  25 reviews

Missing those yummy and absolutely sinful meals that you were used to in Bombay or Delhi - the channa baturas, the paranthas and so on? Then come to Cream Center, the less-healthy-but-more-tasty version of Mast Kalandar - while the latter satisfies your craving for wholesome, north indian food, the former does exactly the opposite, and does it well!

However, be warned - prices are high (natural considering its a sit down restaurant in a good locality and not a hole in the wall in Delhi!) and the service tends to be chaotic, something they can improve on.

The Fat Chef Whitefield  |  74 reviews

Why is it that most of the new places in Whitefield seem to be more suited for lesisurely lunches rather than active dinners/drinks? Is it to do with the profile of the residents or the restaurant owners themselves...or is there an inherent assumption that people will anyway head towards Indranagar and beyond to party, so what's the use?

That observation aside, The Fat Chef is another piece of the extremely attractive area Whitefield is becoming for evolved eating places. Cozy seating, both indoors and on a covered verandah, sets the tone for the meal...whether it be the smiling hosts
