First thing to note, this is not part of the Leela Palace Hotel, and not run by the Leela.
It is just another 'shop' inside the Leela Galleria, just like Amoeba Bowling or Huawei office. It is in a dingy -2 basement of the building.
The place has a pretty big dance floor with some nice music, which the good bit.
But that apart, everything else falls apart.
They have limited menu both on terms of food and drink - just some basic cocktails and finger food. At the time we went they had just 2 options in beer.
Veggies have even fewer options.

Have visited all the three 1947s in Bangalore, and this one, the first one to open, is perhaps the best of the lot.
they have a few of parking slots, but gets full soon.
the food is pretty good and tasty, but has become pretty expensive recently, while the quantity has slightly reduced. the food theme seems to rotate around Paneer a lot. Am sure they can come up with more innovative dishes from other ingredients.
the theme of the restaurant surrounds the Independence movement of India and hence has lot of photos from that era, which is nice. the ambiance is very good.

Went there on a weekday evening through a group buy. Looked like an interesting place and had been a long time since i had Mediterranean and Persian.
There is parking space on the side road. Is a bit tough to locate as it is on the first floor, and you have to make your way thru some dingy stairs. The interiors are well done, but looks a bit old. Perhaps they have tried to recreate some old middle east house type feel. The place itself isnt too large.

recently had been there along with my fiancee for a quite evening drink, as most other pubs are too crowded/noisy/allow smoking. We like this place as it is quite and ambient!
This place now has a Irish stout - Murphys. I guess Guinness dont seem to be bothered about the Indian market :-(
But then just before we paid and left, we saw a mouse / rat at the behind the wine bar rack! yikes...so much for a 5star place which has a pet mouse!

Looks like there is a sudden spurt of activity of restaurants on the edge of JPNagar.
Heard a lot about Aroy and also read many a featured reviews on Burrp. Lucky that we found a table on Friday evening without reservation.
The parking space is plenty, but they don’t have valet. Having this will be useful.
The staff seemed pretty helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.
