Cringing, craving, bingeing, braving... you always have an opinion on what's hot and what's not in your city and we just love to hear it. Besides, there's no better place to satiate that itch to bitch!
I realize that it sounds like anathema to go to Trishna and eat only the vegetarian food (especially in light of the fact that I am usually a die-hard sea food fanatic!), but that is exactly what I did for lunch today.
I was by myself so did not want to order a multiple dishes for fear that (a) I would not be able to finish them or, (b) if I DID finish them, I would be in a food coma for the remainder of the day which would render me unable to go back to work.
I decided to keep it simple and order a portion of the Hyderabadi Daal and a Butter-Garlic Naan. Both items were super... read more
I cannot disagree more with the last reviewer and am totally surprised that he had a bad experience at Britannia. The only reason I can think of for this is that he is a vegitarian and Britannia is all about the goodness of non-veg Parsi bhonu.
Being fairly close to my office, I go to Britannia from time to time and I have to say that I am never disappointed. Their signature dish is the berry berry pulav which is sublime! Other than that, however, all the other dishes are also quite delectable. Among my favorites are the mutton dhansakh, the salli boti, the chicken farcha and the cutlets... read more
Before today, I had never ordered pizza from Domino's in India so I was not really sure what to expect when I picked up the phone to call them. I am happy to report, however, that I was thoroughtly satisfied with my experience at the Colaba Domino's.
The staff were friendly and curteous. They efficiently took our order and delivered our lunch in under 30 minutes. Additionally, there were no mess-ups in the order despite the fact that we ordered several pizzas with multiple different toppings on each.
With regard to the food - it was very "what you see is what you get" and... read more
Call me finicky, but I generally avoid eating meat off the streets - you never know where it came from, how it's been stored and what type of bugs it may be carrying. I figure there is no reason to invite gastro-intestinal trouble. I am doubly conscious about this during the monsoons.
Having said that, I agreed to going to Bade Miya's against my better judgement last week. Before any allegations of hypocrisy are flung at me, let me say that it was late, I was famished, I had knocked back several vodkas at Busaba so my judgement was clouded and most importantly, nowhere else would serve... read more
Went to this place for dinner with a friend last night. Being the SOBO brat that I am, I was a little perturbed by my friend insisting that we go here - the thought of driving all the way to Juhu was a little daunting. Luckily it was not raining and the traffic was not too bad.
We walked into this very unassuming place with a superb neighborhood feel - think your average middle-of-the-road Italian eatery in New York. The Italian marble slabs on the walls and the black and white opera posters really gave this place a great "old-world" charm. Also, the wait-staff is increadibly friendly... read more
