Masalazone replaces the shady Samudra at Shivaji Park... such a relief, now that you can take your family along. I've been to their Bandra and the Thane outlets but this one is by far the best one in terms of decor at least. (Probably because it is new; unlike the run down Thane one which I suspect has shut) We wanted to quickly check out the place and here are my two cents...
The food is typical Masalazone, the portion sizes are generous and the flavours are engaging. I had to try the Basil garlic paneer tikka which is almost their flagship dish. I can confirm that it was superlative.... read more

I'd heard about this place from a few of my friends but never actually made it here until now. My loss for not going sooner because now the approach road is murdered by the skywalk construction... so parking is going to be an effort. Once inside the gate you are greeted with peaceful chimes, funky lights and a rocky decor. We were politely escorted to the 2nd floor as the place seemed bustling on a Saturday evening. So here's my 2 cents...

I've been here twice, actually swearing the first time that it was a complete waste of money and wouldn't try it again. So when I was forced/cajoled/blackmailed into going there again, I was not hoping any better. The good part first.
1. They've slashed the prices, Yay! :-) A non-vegetarian meal is now 495 (625 with taxes & service charge.) I must mention that the service was decent and attentive.
2. The kebabs are good.(were good before too)
3. The desserts were creative and the best part (pan-flavoured ice-cream, gajar-halwa and chocolate gulab jamun.)

Most reviews cover what's wrong with this one. I have been a super-fan of Subway ever since the first one opened in Bandra to all the way in San Francisco. I must rate this one the worst one I've been to.

The food is as good as other 5 spice places in Mumbai, but the service is by far the worst. Starting from the sleeping valet whom we had to disturb to the waiter who would not accommodate a minor change in the preparation.
Go if you are interested in only the food, or better still order from there. -
