Koshy's Parade Cafe St. Marks Road  |  26 reviews

Went to Koshy's for breakfast last Sunday. We ordered bacon omlette, appam and mutton stew, ham sandwiches and sausages along with cold coffee. The food is great but if you are looking for good service then this is not the place to be. The waiter (in his 50s) who served us hardly had any time to take our order properly and was very cold in his behavior. In fact while we were not too happy with the service, he was audacious enough to demand (yes! he demanded literally) for tip at the end. Management should teach some etiquette and nuances of hospitality to the waiters here (at least the one who... read more

  • Best Kakori kebabs in town Dec 29, 2011

Ebony MG Road  |  56 reviews

Went there for a dinner with my wife on Wednesday evening. Ordered my favorite Kakori Kebabs along with Parsi Machchha Ni Curry and a couple of Sweet Lime Sodas... the Kebabs were out of this world as always. The fish was good but a bit spicy.. Also ordered Gulab Jamoon and found it decent.. Luckily got a seat outside with a view of the well-lit Bangalore. Nice ambiance.. will come back for sure.. Bill came to 1400 and it was an evening well spent :)

Aromas of China Brigade Road  |  23 reviews

Went to Aromas of China today for the Weekday Lunch Buffet... At about 390 per head it has good variety in its food - there were Momos (both veg & chicken), 2 non-veg & 2 veg starters which were good in taste but could have been served a little hot... The main course constituted of prawns, chicken and lamb. The options for vegetarians are a little limited to tofu, babycorn and sweet & sour veg.. There was also a live counter preparing stir-fried vegetables. Finally, the desserts section - could have been better in my opinion. The marshmelow was not soft enough... The choc mousse cake tasted of... read more

  • Awesome buffet Apr 22, 2011

Punjab Grill National Highway 8  |  8 reviews

I went there with my in-laws during a brief stint in Delhi last November. Had heard a lot about this place from a colleague. And the decision to try out the buffet was the perfect one. Probably the best buffet I have had. From the starters to the main course and the desserts it was all great food. Whenever I visit Delhi for some days, I will go there again for sure.

Veekes and Thomas JP Nagar  |  103 reviews

Was passing by Jayanagar 4th block around lunch time today when I spotted the Veekes and Thomas Jayanagar outlet. This has a only vegetarian menu and is a small outlet with seating capacity of 6. Ordered a pasta and a Lasagna... food was good. Came to know that the prices have increased a bit vis-a-vis the ones posted in the website- it would be good to update the same. Quantity was decent , quality good. pasta cost me 50 bucks while the lasagna was 65... nice for a quick late lunch or even a fleeting evening snack.

thank you Tokrishanu, Let me give you some backround. Outlets like the one we have at Jayanagar were meant to compete with the masala dosa, chow chow baat market and was initially priced at INR 29 a dish. But given the niche nature and cost of the cuisine we just had to take it up over the 15 months it has been in existence. My hunch is that if we gain the volumes and acceptance of the masala dosa market (and we are slowly getting there)we would be glad to bring down prices. Your point on the website is well taken. we have been at the mercy of software czars being illiterate ourselves and they...read more
