I am a guy from North Karnataka. I have had the best in North Karnataka food. Kamat Bugle Rock does not come even close to it. The roti is black. The Badanikai palya is bad.. The kal palya is extremely bad. Service is pathetic and they always run out of junka.

For the price of special meals Rs 140/-, its definitely not close to being worth. Some Updupi guys is trying to act cool and trying to cook North Karnataka food and sell it to guys who have never eaten north kannada food.

Had a awful exp with Gujarathi food at maiya's Mar 29, 2010

I wanted to have Gujarahi food and decided to go to Maiya's in Jayanagar. Maiya's server special Gujarathi thali's on Sunday for Rs 150/- after a long wait i got the table at 3rd floor.
The food was bad.. it was like a south Indian ( Udupi guy) trying hard to prepare guju food.. It was toooo sweet.
I have had best guju food in Bangalore . so i know Maiya's was really bad.

Even worse.. i got a hair in my dhai.. and when asked they changed the plate. The saabzi had too much of sugar and were over cooked in Oil. Dhokla was stale and very hard.
