I've been going to JATC since I was a little girl. EATC, the new avatar, is just depressing. In an effort to push out those who would while away their time sitting with one drink at a table, EATC has become a sort of strict, rule-enforcing canteen.
I've also ordered from here, and while they are admirably punctual, the food doesn't cut it.
The sandwiches are not bad (try ham and cheese melt, or chicken barbecue) but the burgers were not worth it. -

Mia Cucina is cozy and charming, and may not be as upmarket as the nearby Pali Village Cafe, but the food is just as good: unpretentious, well-made, with filling portions and a fair number of choices. I've been here several times and service is average, not exemplary, but nothing to complain about. It could be slightly better lit, though. :) -

I love Candies. Though the prices have gone up recently, if you order smartly it's always worth it: Avoid the overpriced mini-meals, and go for their very filling sandwiches, rolls, and mini-samosas. If you must be healthy, the salad bar isn't too bad. I generally get a peach iced tea, but the classic fresh lime soda is less sweet.
Their desserts are always good too, the Rich Chocolate Cake is SERIOUSLY chocolaty, I've never been able to finish it in one sitting, and the chocolate lava is very popular. The chips they serve with all rolls are fried in butter and are delicious but insanely calor... read more -

I got a bikini wax at Bambooo Tree recently. My waxer, Shilpa, was really sweet and knew what she was doing, she took her time and made me feel very comfortable. The place is small, but neat and cutely designed... The walls are a little thin (or maybe just a particular customer was being very loud) but anyway, it's not too much of a problem. Overall,t he experience was great, they're thorough and professional, remembered my appointment. Unlike some salons, they're completely unpretentious, which was nice. :) -
